All this crazy ecto farming in the Chaos Planes got me thinking about other classes. I would like to know what type of damage Mindblades do, does anyone know?

Not sure, but with damage type changers *which are on ele and ranger that I can think of off the bat*, it wouldn't matter.

Yeah, see, that's the problem. Vaettir are mesmers, but they use earth damage.

i think mind blades do physical, cause they r melee, probably slashing

If I remember correctly Mindblade attacks do not trigger essence bond, so it is most likely chaos damage.

Bladed Aatxes, Grasping Darknesses, Mindblade Spectres, Wailing Lords, Dead Threshers/Collectors (whichever one is the melee) are melee and deal physical damage.

Banished Horsemen deal chaos damage.

Dying Nightmares, Terrorweb Dryders and the ranged Dead Threshers/Collectors deal dark damage.

These are the only damage types you will encounter in the typical chaos planes/bone pits run.

I have done many tests on them for different things and I am pretty sure they deal slashing damage. It doesn't matter so much though since they deal their real damage from spells.

the mindblades does physical damage for sure (and as I can remember the "shields up" back in the time didn't reduced their damage - so it seems to be slashing damage)

I was showing the mindblade farm to one of my guildie with my VwK warrior - My guildie was a toucher ranger.
I usually got 0-1 damage from mindblades (using gladiators armor and a -3 physical/hexed shield), but when the ranger made the Greater Conflagration spirit, they started to inflict 8-12 damage for me, as the damage turned into fire damage.
